Are you looking for some FREE fun for the children this summer? Check out the programs and activities at the Sam Houston Memorial Museum  On Wednesday, June 17, 2015 you are encouraged to bring your children to the Bear Bend Cabin at the Sam Houston Memorial Museum grounds for a  20 to 30 minuet nature walk around the park grounds. Walks begin every half hour beginning at 9 am until noon.

Joni, I a firm believer children learn faster and better when they can actually see and do something than just sitting in a classroom geting bored. Nature walk in the summer is an excellent way to get the kids out of the house and learn something at the same time.
