Thinking Like a Champion
“I’m willing to put myself through anything; temporary
pain or discomfort nothing means anything to me
as long as I can see that the experience will
take me to a new level.”
Diana Nyad, swimmer
As I see it . . . . . . .
Thinking like a champion
A champion . . . . can visualize the event that they will participate in their thoughts with clarity long before the event occurs.
They will play and replay . . . . the event over and over in the thoughts until the event become real in there thinking. They see themselves performing in the event in fine detail. Their heart rate will increase; their muscles will be tense as a result of the mental images . . . . in their mind.
A mindset of a champion . . . . is to prepare themselves both mentally and physically to compete in the event at the highest possible level it order to win.
A champion has mentally prepared themselves to be in a mental state of mind to win . . . . and go into the event with confidence in their abilities to succeed.
Champion athletes will train hard . . . . to compete at a high level. In order to be competitive they have push themselves hard . . . . They also have to be willing to work through the pain of training . . . . and the pressure of the event.
Thinking like a champion is to understand that success has price. That price is pay in advance by preparing . . . . and pushing yourself to stay at the top of your profession. A champion is determination to push through the challenges that you encounter to become a champion in life . . . . and to be able to stand in the winners circle.
