The buyers needed to find, buy and move into a home in 14 days. Not a simple request under any circumstances - but they also needed to finance the purchase, using a VA loan. The buyers met with David Wagner, the buyer agent with the Lise Howe Group, on a Friday afternoon to talk about their home search.
The buyers wanted to start searching for their new home on Saturday morning, but David wisely suggested that they should go back to their old home, start packing, and make a mortgage application with our favorite lender, Scott Story, of First Home Mortgage. The buyers did as David suggested and got their pre approval from Scott by Sunday morning. Monday brought them back to DC at which point David took them around to the houses that met their criteria. By the end of the day on Monday, the buyers had made a choice and David started writing the offer. By Wednesday, the buyers were under contract to buy a charming rambler in their neighborhood of choice. Within another eight days, the buyers were sitting at the closing table, and they moved out of temporary housing and into their new home on Friday!
