HSBC Beefs Up Collections Force

Seems like HSBC, a London based home loan lender, doesn't have enough people to process all of the foreclosures of late. So, they've beefed up, adding over 400 new collections agents who have been given "special training" to help recover some of the company's losses.

Marlin Jenkins (name changed for privacy) of Land O Lakes had the following comment: "I missed a mortgage payment, and all of the sudden seven ninjas in black robes fast-roped into my second story bedroom window and started tossing shuriken at my dog. It was ugly."

This isn't really the kind of job growth that I like to see in Florida. Funny - I would think they'd recoup more of their losses by working with people than by adding to inventory!
