How Can You Feng Shui Your Other Office? Your Car...

Feng Shui is a mindset and lifestyle. In my previous post I shared a tip on how to improve your office space with better air circulation. If you are in the profession where your car is the office, even that space can be supportive.

  • One of the best things for any car in general is to clear the clutter.

I have to admit, even I am working on lessening the clutter in my car because I am constantly on the go. I do make it a point at least once a week to stop what I am doing, take an inventory of the items that have collected in my "chi car" and clear it out.

  • I have supportive imagery and symbols hidden with in my car. For example, an image of mom and I from my prom photo, a gift grandma Rose made for me when I first began driving, all reside in my car to offer protection, love and support as I travel to my destinations. I have even seen lucky cats on dash boards.

  • Being practical, make sure you do your annual maintenance every three months. This is vital if you are constantly using your car.

  • Essentially, I have simple office supplies in my car ready to be used if need be. This includes some printouts, pad, pencil and business cards. They are tucked away nice and neat. I have even seen some with a small file system in their car.

  • Some may even suggest when picking your car, you can utilize your birth date to find the right make, match, color, etc. For me, I go for reliable, most gas efficient and a color that is not as eye catching when traveling around.

  • And forcourse for good air cirucation, you can simply open the window or turn on the AC.

For each person, what they keep in their car will vary. Allowing your car to be organized will lesson your stress level and increase focus especially if you have back to back clients.

Good ideas.  I have just had my car detailed.  I should do it once every 6 months.  Makes such a difference in my attempts to follow through with "cleanliness" and orderliness.
