Perhaps it's because I have so much time sitting here chained to my computer, but I have the time to read a lot of Active Rain blogs and would like to recommend some of the blogs that don't get a "highly ranked" or the coveted gold star.  Here's the route to some "hidden jewels".

To to ACTIVERAIN.COM, Log In, go to "For Real Estate Professionals", then go to "Date Posted" and the drop down menu will show "One Day".  That's where I start because that shows all real estate blogs and that's exactly what I want.  The ActiveRain folks do a great job of selecting the best of the best, but there is only so much room on the "Highest Rated".

SOME OF MY RECENT FAVORITES

MORE ON MEDIA BIAS.  I just read a blog by Stephen Luckett, Real Estate Ripoff that is an excellent expose' of some of the media bias when discussing the "poor FSBO" being disadvantaged by the evil agents, brokers and the real estate industry in general.  This article may get featured later today, but if it isn't, it's good reading.  Don't miss it.  http://activerain.com/blogsview/46851/Real-Estate-Ripoff

MOVING TIPS FOR AGENTS AND CONSUMERS.  A post by Tennille Jacobs about moving preparations was probably written for consumers but for new agents, this article On the move is full of helpful tipe of how to help your buyer or seller prepare for moving day.  Adding a page on a web site about preparing for moving day is a good way to get your web page noticed by Google.  There are some very good keyword phrases in the dynamics of "moving".   http://activerain.com/blogsview/45689/On-the-move

NEVER STOP LEARNING ON ACTIVE RAIN.  Eileen Landeau wrote a blog a few days ago about some things I didn't know.  What have I learned this week? I especially liked Numbers 1, 4 and 5.  I'm constantly amazed at the important facts and helpful real estate practice information gleaned from these articles.  Take a tour of this very good blog:  http://activerain.com/blogsview/46373/What-have-I-learned

I didn't know that  WE GET GREAT INFORMATION AND FACTS FROM ACTIVE RAIN DAILY.

WHAT SHOULD YOUR BUYER BE LOOKING FOR IN THE CONDOMINIUM OR HOA DOCUMENTS?  Another article I found resourseful for agents and consumers was posted by Shirley Lind about Finding the right Condo or townhome  http://activerain.com/blogsview/46345/Northwest-Indiana-Senior-Real

THE DASHBOARD IS GREAT AND THE FEATURED ARTICLES ARE ALWAYS A GOOD READ.  But, there's gold in them there blogs that you may have missed.

Help from Chris Griffith shows how to "FLAG" posts for notice.  http://activerain.com/blogsview/46850/Citizen-s-Arrest-YOU .  There is SO MUCH GREAT INFORMATION on Active Rain, sometimes features get overlooked.  I miss things too.  Thanks Chris.

Nice post Lenn!

I too love the diamond in the rough blogs that don't get quite as much attention but deserve every bit as much.

Lenn, I hope you don't mind me including this link: Citizen's Arrest - YOU Have Been Deputized!  You may delete it, if you wish.  My "citizens's arrest" post shows how to flag a post.  Those diamonds in the rough can be flagged and nominated for a feature.

Thanks for the summary, Lenn. I saw a couple but misssed some of the others. I know that I often go just look at the blogs of readers I look at regulary and don't often check out new writers. Bad habit I think since I know I am missing some good stuff. Thanks again.

Lenn, thank you. Must go and read them now. It's always nice to have someone do the grunt work and pick up the BEST of the BEST. Thanks again.

For some reason the first two links I tried are not working.

I agree Lenn, there is a lot of great info on here. I read "all blogs no ads" and try to make it through all of them everyday. Obviously I can't read them all but I do scan for things that peak my interest. Thanks for sharing some of your choices.

I'd seen all of these except for the last two.  The link for "Finding the Right Condo or Townhome" didn't work for me, and I tried to search for it as well with no luck.  The blog by Chris was one that had slipped by me, so thanks so much for posting it and the others!

The link to "finding the right condo" needs to be edited.  I did go and find that post myself and you are correct that it was worth the search

Hi Lenn - many times I start my reading with the new blogs for that day, and I find some mighty fine reading in there that gets lost.  There are so many posts each day that it's easy to overlook some of the great gems here.

Thanks for providing these links for us to check out.
