(My computer is not working properly and I cannot load up all the photos I want but will try again later )

What more can I say?    We have had several write about the wonderful  AR Gathering and BBQ we had Saturday, April 12th at the Pomarosa RV Park in Bandera, Texas.  It could not have been any better with the exception of having more of you come.  The weather was absolutley beautiful.  It was not too hot or too cool, just right.  Even though, I managed to get a little too much sun on my back while playing horseshoes with Tom Plant, Edward Lui and Carl Winters.    Carl has mentioned already that I got a RINGER and he did not.  I cannot imagine this happening normally but it did.  So what do you say, Carl?   How about a re-match next year?  That will give you some time to practice up! :)

What a surprise Tom was for Jason!  Here is a great picture of them with Jason's wife, Pam.

         Surprise meeting

To all of you who drove so far to come, Thank You!  It was a delight to get to meet you in person.  Meeting the spouses was an extra treat.  Our spouses listen to us talk about the Rainers and now we all have faces to put with names.  The children were wonderful too.  Jem Woods daughters were very excited about finding the guinea feather and loved playing horseshoes.  Edward Lui's little boy gave the best speech of all.  Wow!  What a speaker he will be when he grows up!

Having Liz Carter here was a treat for me. Tom & Liz I have wanted to meet her for a long time.  The meeting was even better than I imagined it could be.  Thanks for coming Liz.  Hope to see you again before long.

Marchel Peterson is such a nice person  and her genuine warmth just radiates from her.  I personally look forward to getting to know her better.  Gail Tassey is one of my favorite bloggers and I was anxious to meet her.  Y'all watch out, she is good at playing "Dice" :O)                                       Cheri Lynn, Gail Tassey, Celinda Garza

Deb and Scott Brooks, Alan and Michele Kirkpatrick were a joy to meet.  I love Deb's blogs and Alan's sense of humor keeps me laughing all the time.  It was wonderful to meet y'all in person and to meet your great spouses.  Speaking of great spouses, here is my terrific husband, Don Eichler, with some of my favorite people.     favorite people

I want to "Thank Judi Morgan"  for all her hard work.   Judi is a special person and she is a go-getter.  She gets things done and quickly.  She is a wonderful, fun-loving, dedicated Rainer and working with her has been a fun experience.  Thank you, Judi, for all you did and for getting Tom here.  What a great surprise for all of us!  I am sure he has enjoyed his visit with you as well.

Thank you to Cheri Lynn Venditti, my real estate partner and friend.  Cheri Lynn has the Pomarosa co-listed with me.  She helped put this whole thing together with me.  She made some of the cole slaw and provided desserts and stayed overnight in the park.  She and my husband helped clean up the Rec Hall until late at night and even the next morning made sure all was done.  I cannot thank them enough for all they did to make our Gathering a wonderful, memorable event.                                                                       Carl, Septimus, Judi & Don        Thank you to Carl & Ceil Winters for bringing snacks, and dessert plates and many other things to make everything perfect. Ceil held Edward's baby so that Mama could eat.  What a great Grandma you know she is!                                   Trey checking out the game

Last but not least, Thank you to The Kerekes,  who prepared the BBQ brisket.  It was truly delicious.  We appreciate the hard work that went into the long hours of cooking and preparation.

I am looking forward to the next annual AR Gathering.  Each year we will have it in a different location so everyone will not have to drive a long way eachyear.  So make your plans not to miss next years' Gathering.

Ricki - Thanks again for putting this special day together.  Somehow, I only managed to get you in a group shot with my camera, rather than in a smaller photo.  You and Judi did a great job, and I thank you for your time and effort!  Have a terrific week!

Ricki & Don: Just got in and wanted to check the Rain before dinner. Looks like I clicked on yours first as you were uploading your photo's. Ceil and I wanted to thank you, Don, Judi  and the entire gang for making Saturday (our First AR Gathering) such a wonderful day. Seems we no sooner arrived and it was time to leave for home; my how time flies when your having fun.

As for the horseshoes, I'll be a practicing for round two. You are not only good at horseshes, but was great helping Tom with the auction. What a way to end such a beautiful day with the auction to raise funds to help Jason's friend's family.

God Bless Texas

Hi Ricki, it was fun planning the Gathering -- the Gathering was a success and I'm looking forward to many more!!!  I'm still smiling about some of the things that went on.  Of course, the best was saved for last -- the Auction where we raised $1500 for David Wilder's family!

Tom is still here and we've been busy showing him around our part of Texas.  Went to Fredericksburg yesterday (there's a blog there).  This morning we went to my office for me to attend a meeting, then headed up to San Marcos to meet Jason for lunch -- then back down to San Antonio's Riverwalk for the afternoon.

I meant to mention that I am hoping to see Jan Wilder tomorrow and give her the big wad of money that we raised.  I look forward to seeing her face light up.

Hello my friend Ricki, yes indeed you know how to throw a great party!  It was worth every second of the 10 hour drive, wish we had made a weekend of it, so I could have spent more time touring Bendara.  The drive was spectacular, especially coming from the Houston/Katy area, which is flat as a pancake...we were all rich fields before the home came!  I got some great pictures, but have to resize them to post.  See you real soon I hope, Lizcross

I got some great pictures of this, which is right outside Bandera (I'm sure you've seen it a million times, but this is the only one that was sized small enough to download, I will post the great ones soon, and the post for our wedding plans for Tex & Miss Molly.  Liz

Hi Liz,    This is a great picture.  There have been many times when I came through the hills just north of here and actually drove through clouds.  That is an awesome thing to drive through a cloud. It isa spectacular feeling and it gets your attention. :)  Talk to you soon.  Ricki

Hi Ricki and Judi!!!

I am SO SO SO sad I didn't get to come, especially since I only live 20 minutes away!!!!!! But the Dave Ramsey seminar was excellent, so I missed the gathering for a "good cause" :)

As far as brunch - my husband had to go into work that morning and so I was stuck with the kids - I didn't want to bring them (they are 3 and 5) so I missed that too :( :(    I hope the food was delish and the service was excellent ;0)

I am so looking forward to meeting you all at a future event - could we do one semi-annually? I am sure you want to do all that work again in 6 months, right? (wink wink)

Hope to meet all of you soon and congrats for raising so much money for Jason's friend - I love the idea of marrying a friendly gathering with a charitable purpose!

Ronda, we don't have to wait until a large gathering to meet -- we can meet for lunch one day.  I'm very convenient to Boerne in Helotes...so just give me a call and we'll have lunch and visit!  :)

That would be great Judi!  I actually live at Medina Lake - I just work out of Keller Williams in Boerne. I would love to have lunch - I'm putting your number in my phone right now :)

Hi Ronda,   It was a Gathering to Remember for sure.  Dave Ramsey is terrific also but we missed meeting you.  Maybe we can have lunch sometime before too long.  I work the Bandera area and am over there quite often.  Email me with your phone number and we'll get together soon. :)

Great Ricki!! My phone number is in my profile :)  Call anytime!  I also hope to work the Bandera area, but that's about as far North as I want to go.  Then East to Boerne, South to NW San Antonio and West to Castroville.  That's my "master plan" at least :) :)

I love love Kerrville - such a nice place :)

My son, Joshua is such a hoot.  He was getting ready to stand since the very beginning of the introductions and we told him to sit down.  He replied, "but I have to be ready to speak when it's my turn!"  That was hilarious, he doesn't even speak up during show and tell!

Hi Ricki, I need to come up with a nickname for you...hum...got my thinking cap on :).  I thought you might want to go read this.  Homes for sale Katy; selling or buying a home in Katy, questions you need to know the anwers to!  It's an old blog, but I think knowing these questions and more importantly the answers would help you.  Looking forward to seeing you again, Liz
