I am always one for new gadgets if they can help better me or my world. When I came across this one, I knew that I would want to share it with my friends here. Amazon has a new reader out called Amazon Kindle wireless reading device and it has it's own Kindle Edition books.

Most of the New York Times Best Sellers and new releases are $9.99 useless otherwise stated. Amazon Kindle is a revolutionary portable reader that wirelessly downloads books, newspapers, magazines and blogs to a crisp, high-resolution electronic paper display that looks and reads like real paper, even in bright sunlight.

This is a great travel item and instead of taking a ton of reading material along for the trip, all you need is your Kindle wireless reading device. There are more than 110,000 books available, including more than 90 of 112 current New York Times® Best Sellers. It is simple to use: no computer, no cables, no syncing. Here are some other great features. It also holds over 200 titles and has a very long battery life.

Hey Danny, This comment has nothing to do with thetopic of your blog, but your new blog format. It looks great with the background and the graphics in your blog. A definite eye catcher.

Danny, I saw this the other night when I was on Amazon.  Did you purchase one of these?  I was thinking I probably would not really use it?  But you make a good point about less to carry when you travel!  Thanks!

I saw one of these when we were on vacation in January.  A lady had one on our cruise ship, very cool.

Audrey, and another thing is, it is only 10 ounces. That is nothing to carry. 200 books or 10 ounces? That is a no brainer. I love mine.

Brian, I bet people envied her.

I read a blog about the impending release of these back before Christmas and thought that they sounded pretty cool.

Rich, they just came out and they are great. It sure beats carrying all those books around.

Due to heavy customer demand, Kindle is temporarily sold out. Apparently they are working hard to manufacture Kindles as quickly as possible and are prioritizing orders on a first come, first served basis. Unfortunately they're not available in Canada yet - but a fantastic idea...although I thought the $400 was a wee bit steep...

Liz, it is just like Wii as in that it is in high demand at this time.

Liz, I have not followed him. I am more of a Spencer Johnson nut myself.

Vincent, that you can bet on.
