TWO DAYS OF POISONS

If you have read my posts much, you know I write about my own personal battle of good and evil.

The battle of the bulge, if you will.

Well I lost that battle this weekend.  I had my weight down to a recent memory low of 200.2 pounds on Thursday.  This weekend was a whirlwind of excess and big events.

Saturday, my wife and I went to a wedding in Chicago.  Nicole's friend Allison was married to a very nice guy named Jim.

I like to have lots of fun at weddings.  Several Heinekens and tons of chocolate in the cab on the way home.  I don't know where I got the chocolate, but boy it was good.

Sunday continued the festing.  It was my Masters Party.  Lot's of friends.  Lot's of golf.  Lot's of food.  Lot's more Heineken.

So I get on the scale this morning.  206.  Yikes.

I ran three miles on the treadmill.  Had to sweat out some of those poisons.

Back to yoga tomorrow!

Ken, once you get below the 200 mark, you'll have a whole new level of motivation.  I know.  Been there.

Ken, it is the story of my life.  I could go on and on and on!! Good for you for getting on the treadmill.  You inspired me, I will get back on mine in the am.  I have been a slacker since last week!

Ok Ken- So I have been on the South Beach Diet getting ready for a trip with my daughters their husbands and my 5 grandkids to DisneyWorld- The trip was a Christmas gift from me to all of them. I purchased the meal plan for everyone, too, and since Christmas the topic of every get together is where we are eating and the resevations are made. Just yesterday I told them for the one week I was going off the diet- What could it hurt- Now I read your blog- 6 pounds in two days- OH NO! Just kidding- We have to enjoy life and get back to the treadmill as soon as the enjoyment is over. It's all about balance-

Chicken or the egg?

Do we exercise then eat, or eat then exercise?  Who cares- just do both.  I know you know all about the work hard, play hard 'business strategy'.

Very good strategy, Rich:).

My yoga class was canceled today.  No teacher.  Went to Starbucks instead!
