Sell My House in Gilbert , AZ - All About Kitchens

Believe it or not, I like to sell houses!  Surprising right?  Well, I guess not really, what I mean is I like to sell my house because I know where to start, but for others the decision of what to do before putting a house on the market for sale.  This series of blogs is designed to answer the question how do I sell my house?

When selling a home, the kitchen is considered one of the most important rooms in the home.  When your home is showed by other agents you want it be the star!  Shinning bright, fresh and clean is a key to making a great first impression.  Deep cleaning and removing clutter are extremely important but so is the mundane daily task of making sure all dishes are clean and put away, the sink is clean and there is a fresh bag in the garbage pale.  Here are a few other Sell My House tips and tricks that will help your kitchen shine!  Literately.  (Kitchen Edition focuses specifically on sales tactics for Kitchen designs of the southwest and typically found in Gilbert, AZ houses.)

Think Ahead:  If you are selling your house remember that weekends are the most active showing days.  Set a simple rule not fry fish, don’t cook bacon in the morning for breakfast and don't foul the air with boiling a pot of cabbage to go with your corned beef.

The best strategy is to go out for dinner or order takeout...

Refrigerators & Odors:  Believe it or not, nosy buyers will look in your refrigerator. Giving them something to look at like a spotless interior and food that is well organized tells them this house was well maintained from top to bottom! Don't forget to wipe down the outside, too.

Floors:  Crumbs on the floor, dust bunnies in the corners? If you have hardwood or tile flooring, vacuum and damp mop, making sure to get in all the dark corners. Making those dull floors shiny isn't that difficult these days.  Do your best to make a great first impression and keep a dust mop around the corner so that you can quickly tidy up as you walk out the door.

Counter tops & Appliances:  Granite counter tops and Stainless-steel appliances can be a HUGE win for a kitchen but dirty and dull ones can be an equally large turnoff, make them shine with the right type of cleaning products designed to show them in their best light.

Clean the microwave. You’ve already polished the stainless steel, now clean the inside. Few buyers will open the microwave and check inside, but for those who do, let’s not greet them with years of caked-on food splatters.

Kitchen Table, Baker's Rack and Shelves:   The kitchen is all about space. Make sure the table is clear and clean, de-clutter shelves and baker's racks.  Open, airy and de-cluttered is what a kitchen should be.  A comfortable place where the buyer can see themselves and feel relaxed.

Flowers are always nice. The one exception to the clutter-free counter top rule is a vase of fresh flowers. Flowers always set a friendly, fresh and happy tone.
