Welcome to the ongoing weekly series called Tuesday Travelogue. We are in our fifty-first week! (It's almost as old as me now). Each week, some ActiveRain bloggers are spotlighted to take us somewhere we may not have been on some kind of virtual travel (and it doesn't cost a dime!). Here is the purpose:
" to enjoy the ride"
"take a trip without even leaving the farm"
"expand your horizons"
"see through someone else's eyes"
and hopefully much more!
Wow, this week it's NEW YORK!!
Tarrytown, NY is my first stop, because the photos were lovely. This is a hike that Ruthmarie Hicks tells us about.
Of course, I can't highlight NY without talking about the "city" buildings, and something unusual (unusual, in New York? Say it's not so!) This gem was spotted while in a helicopter, flying over New York City! Thank you, Jeffrey Ditri--so interesting!
Our New York Feng Shui guru, Laura Cerrano found this really creepy place with a haunted history and a bit of her own haunted tale that I just HAD to share. Mt. Mistery, Long Island, NY here we come!
I HAD to give a shout out for Buffalo, because that's where I was born!! And this video is so upbeat sharing Buffalove and asking the question, Are YOU Right for Buffalo?? I was! Thanks, Kelly Barbus--it's not ALL about snow!
My galpal Joanna Cohlan is the very first person I think of when I hear New York in Active Rain! She shares many posts about places around the globe, but she's also known for collecting some of the most interesting local photos around New York and shares them with us.
I am going to "end" with this little bit of "only in New York" humor that I so love her for sharing!! (You will have to go to her post if you don't know what it says....)
(P.S. I found so many great localism posts that I could spotlight NY for the next few weeks, easily! Go check it out for yourself!)
Please don't forget to comment on these blogposts and I hope that you enjoyed all of these virtual travels. Feel free to join our group:
