It sounds like good advice. If you are greedy when other are fearful, that can be translated into "buy when the market is down" and if you are being fearful when others are greedy, that is a way of saying, "if everyone else wants it, it's time to sell."

I like the quote but I feel like it has a lot of negative words in it.  Words like greed and fear make people uneasy in my opinion but that's just my opinion.

thanks for your comments.....i have to agree that the words do sound negative.....i want to change them, but then it wouldn't be a quote.....

the meaning just seems to really resonate right now

i'll have to sleep on this one i guess
