According to Livability, which conducted a survey throughout the cities in U.s with population between 25,00 to 350,000 asked about which is the better city or place to live considering the economics, housing, amenities, infrastructure, demographic, social and civic capital, education and healthcare. Bellevue’s highest score, 86 out of a possible 100, in the amenities category, which includes cultural, entertainment, and recreational offerings as well as access to parks and nature. Bellevue is home to over 2,500 acres of parks and open space, countless events such as the annual Bellevue Arts Fair, and more than 120 works of public art, so it should come as no surprise that our fair city stood out in this category. Bellevue also placed high in the education (78 points) and demographics (77 points) categories due to the city’s nationally recognized schools and notable ethnic diversity.

 

 

EVENTS

Wintergrass Festival - one of the biggest and best bluegrass festivals in the country, attracting not just fans but also musicians and artists - from regional and national  favorites to international acts.

Bellevue Jazz Festival -  to renowned national artists, will be performing at more than 40 free and ticketed shows. performances ranging from concerts at the Theatre at Meydenbauer Center to table-side sets in downtown bars.

Eastside Heritage Center's Strawberry Festival - in this summer event old Bellevue tradition dating back to when strawberry farming was one of the region's most famous activities. The festival features live entertainment, food, fresh strawberry shortcake, craft and merchandise vendors, historical and agricultural exhibits, and family fun with games, clowns, and face painting.

Family 4th of July Celebration

- nation's birthday with friends and neighbors at the Bellevue Family 4th of July Celebration in Bellevue Downtown Park. 

Bellevue's Four on the 4th Dog Jog & Walk - the Four on the 4th is a 4k jog and walk for dog lovers and their furry friends. 

Bellevue Arts Fair - one of the largest and most prestigious arts festivals in the Pacific Northwes and this is three fairs in one - the Bellevue Arts Museum ARTSFair, 6th Street Fair and Bellevue Festival of the Arts.

Old Bellevue's Taste of Main - sample fine cuisine, dessert, and wine during this one day event that takes place every summer on Bellevue's celebrated historic Main Street.

Fashion Week at the Bellevue Collection

Cultural Crossroads Festival - this is 3 days celebration featuring performances from over 35 ethnic music and dance groups, an international bazaar filled with handmade crafts and world cuisines, family and friends will be sure to find event very entertaining and fun.

Bellevue Magic Season - holiday tradition produced by the Bellevue Downtown Association, Bellevue Magic Season returns each year with six festive weeks of holiday events. Activities include the Magic Season Ice Arena, holiday performances at the Theatre at Meydenbauer, KidsQuest's Gingerbread Lane, and Garden D'lights at the Bellevue Botanical Garden.

Snowflake Lane and Celebration Lane - magical evening performances for 

the entire family. Snowflake Lane is a a holiday spectacle of live toy soldier drummers, exhilarating 

music, animated snow characters, glittering lights all surrounded by snow falling every night (beginning the Friday ).
