The Greenwood subdivision is conveniently located off Franconia Road in Springfield. It borders the Kingstowne section of Alexandria and is just minutes from the newly opened Springfield Town Center. The neighborhood is composed of 447 townhomes and residents enjoy use of an outdoor pool, tot lots, tennis court, and Springfield Forest Park which is maintained by Fairfax County. Most homes in the neighborhood range from 2-3 bedrooms and some feature garages. The homeowners association offers residents a free shuttle to and from Franconia-Springfield Metro (blue line) during peak hours of the morning and evening commutes. Residents also have the option of taking a 10 minute walk along neighborhood paths to reach metro. The community is very commuter friendly and just a few lights to 95/395/495 and Fairfax County parkway. Access to VRE, Amtrak, and Greyhound is also easily accessible. Kingstowne Towne Center is less than 5 minutes by car and home to multiple grocery stores, dining, and retail options. Best Buy, Home Depot, Petsmart, Starbucks and Z-Pizza are all also within 5 minutes of the neighborhood.
