Launch your boat in Marina Park or rent kayaks, paddleboards, powerboats and Jet Ski rentals available through vendors along the lake.
Cycling
Kirkland offers miles of panoramic bicycle lanes, is part of the renowned Lake Washington Loop and home to the 7 Hills of Kirkland routes. The newly developed Cross Kirkland Corridor offers a 5.75-mile trail that connects South Kirkland to Totem Lake with close access to the Sammamish River Trail and Woodinville wineries. Juanita Drive also connects visitors to the Burke Gilman/Sammamish River Trails which runs 27 miles from Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood to Redmond’s Marymoor Park. Bike rentals are available in downtown Kirkland through Kirkland Bicycle or through vendors in waterfront parks.
For the mountain biker, Big Finn Hill Park north of Juanita Bay is a 220-acre multi-use park that has a 5-mile, single-track system with exciting downhill sprints and jumps.
Walking
You can spend your day or weekend strolling along the lakefront by walking with scnery that is exceptional. Cross Kirkland Corridor or throughout downtown Kirkland. Discover Kirkland’s many popular walking routes.
Birding
If you have bird lovers you don't need to travel far from Kirkland to catch a glimpse of pectular wildlife at Juanita Bay Park a unique urban park.
