Homes built before 1978 could possibly have lead paint now requires Greenwich town form registrations to be filled out before work is done. The law requires all contractors (painters, carpenters, plumbers, electricians) that disturb painted surfaces inside and outside of homes, child care facilities and schools built before 1978 to be certified by the EPA and follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination. Individuals employed by the firm must be trained and certified to perform the work.
