Talk About Curb Appeal!

How's this for curb appeal?

House on Union Street

While few houses are as showy as the two pictured above, San Francisco's temperate climate makes gardening here a delight. In the densely populated areas of the city, gardens are tend to be small, and people creatively figure out ways to garden that suits their space, including along the street.

These people have created spots of spectacular beauty for us all to enjoy as we pass by.

Thank you, neighbors!

Those are absolutely beautiful!  I love all the pink flowers. Here in the Central Valley everything is dying with the water restrictions. There's no curb appeal here. Thanks for posting this beauty!!

You have a great collection of photos.  Each one is beautiful and the various blossoms (except for the geraniums) are ones we don't see in our neck of the woods.  Definitely eye candy!

Wow, there's no way you could grow any of that here in this harsh desert climate! You are very lucky to have all that lush foliage to enjoy!

Lottie, they are all so pretty and tastefully done. When I walk the streets of San Francisco (allow me to clarify that statement - LOL) with my son and grand-dog, I often find myself stopping for a few moments to truly enjoy the beauty the homes.

Hello Jennifer Provencio - our cooler climate allows for easier gardening, that's for sure. I've seen some lovely succulent plantings - I'll have to post some of those shots another day.

Not every garden is so showy, Jack Tenold, NMLS 10261 Reverse Mortgage Specialist Washington | Oregon | California - refinance & purchase - these are definitely eye candy.

Hello Gita Bantwal - I'm glad you enjoyed my little virtual garden walk!

Yes, Ron and Alexandra Seigel - Pacific Heights and Cow Hollow. But even simpler places often create beauty along the streets for all to enjoy.

Lottie - OMG what a great selection.  If that is all one neighborhood  that will certainly make a community of curb appeal for anyone selling.

It's a pleasure to share the beauty, Kim Johnson

Grant Schneider the first picture of the bougainvilla covered houses is in Cow Hollow; the others various streets in Pacific Heights. These two neighborhoods are gorgeous, with stately homes, many with bay and Golden Gate Bridge views.
