Waukesha county is "home" to lakes. The northwestern part of Waukesha county, (the third largest in the state) is referred to as "Lake Country" by the local population. This area includes: Pewaukee, Delafield, Hartland, Merton,, Nashotah, Chenequa, 
Okauchee Lake, Oconomomowoc, Summit and LacLaBelle.
There are a variety of lifestyles, living options...farms, hobby farms, urban condos, lakeside mansions or weekend cottages...subdivisions....a variety of price ranges...and the very wonderful school systems that are the pride of waukesha county and a HUGE attraction for residents.
Mmmm...recreation...besides the lake attractions including fishing, water skiing, boating, swimming and sailing..."party at the park"....with a variety of different recreational opportunities...from skating ponds to swimming pools and picnic grounds and sledding hills, hiking trails...there is something for every 
season.
Who could forget....world class
shopping on the Bluemound Road
corridor..and specialty shops and malls sprinkled throughout the county...certainly not me...anything and everything with more in the planning stages.
A Walk thru Waukesha county 
would not be complete without a taste of all things wonderful....from lakeside supper clubs with specialties all their own to your favorite chain.....or Sports Bar.....and of course...but VERY of course....you are welcome to come to Matty's Bar and Grill in New Berlin and have a burger, a fish fry....a snackatizer...on the Matteo under an umbrella or next to the firepit...c

If you want to be a GOOD SPORT...or a good sports fan...the Milwaukee Brewers, the Milwaukee Admirals,(hockey) the Milwaukee Bucks and the Milwaukee Wave(soccer)....and just a short jaunt up to the Fox River Valley you will find the Green Bay Packers...visible everywhere in every county all season long.
