Mighty Text - Computer Text Messaging

mighty text

Since I have big fingers and have never developed the dexterity to be very good at texting on my phone, I have recently installed and have fallen in love with Mighty Text an app that allows me to text directly from my PC.  (Sorry, but this is for Android devices only though I believe that Mac users do have iMessage which I’m told is similar)

To use Mighty Text one needs to download the app from the Google Play store and install it on your phone.  Then, go to the browser of your choice (all the major Internet browsers are supported) and select Mighty Text.  If you happen to be a Gmail user, Mighty Text will integrate into your Gmail account.

This app is completely free for the basic version.  Though they have fairly recently introduced Mighty Text pro which adds the ability to have signatures, templates, scheduled texting, image storage and editing as well as other phone notifications.

One of the accidental benefits of Mighty Text is the ability to archive some text streams on your computer which in the case of some sensitive and important transaction information can be a great thing to have if required to prove notification and or acknowledgment of some past texts.

If you want to give this a try on your Android Phone, here’s the link to install Mighty Text for your phone.

Good morning Roy. I could see where this could help some folks who like me, have large hands. I still like the ability that the iPhone's offer.

This wouldn't work for me. When I need to text I am not near a PC. I am glad it works for those that need it.

I do type. But I use a lot of shortened words,  abbreviations, and emoji symbols. No long texts. If I need to explain something, I'll call or send an email.
