Positive Thinking in Real Estate
Depending upon who you work for in real estate, cultures play a big part of how you think in real estate. Life sure has changed but cultural differences do
make a difference from your upbringing to now. I can certainly say that in a past career when I was hired in the financial services industry, I found out that I was worth less than a man. My male boss told me this one time even though he had fought the human resource director on it. It was the way it was in the organization but I never forgot that slight and was going to prove them wrong. I did and then moved on.
It is not that much different in any industry but in real estate, some of the more successful real estate agents espouse that you may not have enough time in the business to succeed well. How wrong has this been proven by analyzing the numbers of certain teams that have snuffed out the former top players in real estate. See arrogance doesn't get you ahead, past triumphs mean nothing for the future, yet action, planning, delivery of results, great customer relations and positive thinking does make a strong template for success.
The past does not matter in real estate if you can not roll it forward to now and the future. Serving our clients, buyers and/or sellers, in the best means is what success breeds. It does take honesty, integrity and forthrightness in this business but it also takes a dang, bang marketing strategy that is implemented successfully...again and again. You get there by knowing your 'why' and your ultimate destination point.
Many need to recapture this to represent this real estate industry well and restore more trust in those who operate in it. My random thoughts for Wednesday. Is it time for re-evaluate your plan?
