Can’t we come up with some better adjectives?

I'm really tired of hearing about the housing bubble and the subprime mess. The crunch, the crisis, the disaster, and other doom-and-gloom adjectives. It's no wonder consumers have a low confidence level.

Fellow ‘Rainers, let's decide that we're not going to take it anymore. Don't let anyone in your presence utter any disparaging words about the housing industry without gently setting them straight - at the very least don't agree with them.

And let's vow not to do it ourselves. No more talk of bubbles - burst or otherwise, no crisis, no mess, no crunch. Sure we've seen rosier times. But our attitude can and will make the difference in getting through a little challenge.

Hi Steve;

I agree with you about all the negative news it is having an affect on the public attitude towards the housing market.

Anthony, then we can count on each other to be positive in the face of the news meida? Good.

Teresa & Lee, I'll take that as 2 more votes to remain positive and do our part to counteract all of the negative news that is being churned out.

"We're not going to take it, You know, I'm not gonna to take it, anymore."  Now, that song is in my head. Thank you very much.  I agree with your blog.  Lu

Steve,
Forget about the adjective just STOP TALKING ABOUT IT!  The news media has a tremendous impact on consumers and I believe if they would just STOP, we would see a big difference.  The only thing that will stop them is some BIG news.

Cynthia,  I agree with you. If there is news big enough for the news to start talking about something else, they will still color it with pessimism, such as: the housing crisis which has plagued America ....

Hi Steve, Regarding your comment on my blog, I got the term "Wheel Estate" from my broker!

Steve:  I'm all about a positive attitude, and I've been acting as such since the beginning of my real estate career.  I truly believe that is why my business has not suffered, and only gotten stronger through these "challenging" times.

I believe the 2 words--Housing Bubble--started this whole housing debacle.  Thanks to the press.

Jonathan, tell your broker thanks - this is a great term - very descriptive.

Chris, I applaud your stand. I, too, have been refusing to participate, and many of my builder clients have been doing well these past several months.

Diane, I totally agree that the press created the interest in the "housing bubble" and were only to happy to pronounce that it had "burst." If it's any consolation, their (daily newspapers) bubble burst with me years ago.

Steve - Your right on the money!  I told my husband about 2 years ago if the media keeps this up we will have a bubble.  They never slowed down a bit.  Bubble --- give me a break!

Dorene, thanks for your agreement. From the responses here and from what I've seen on some other blogs, we seem to making some headway. We have to be strong in the face of a determined press.
