ASK AN AMBASSADOR: Let Us Know Where You Are!
If you're looking for ActiveRain referrals, one of the best things you can do is make sure we know where you're from! Over time, we start to associate the location with your name. For instance, San Antonio brings to mind a whole host of Rainers! Chicago? Yep. New York? Sure. Florida? California, Virginia, DC, Maryland....the list goes on and on with agents that we know. We hope by now when you hear OHIO, we're top of mind for you!
So how do you get that association established? Well of course your choice of blogging matters, but even more fundamental is editing your profile so it's obvious, plus you get some more info filled in automatically when you leave a comment on a post.
First, visit your My Home page, then on the left sidebar click EDIT next to My Profile.
That brings up this (okay, not exactly, it's going to be YOUR profile!):
From there each of the icons allows you to edit/add information. Change your background picture, tie in your website, your email, your phone, YOUR GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION, add your social media links, etc. A few clicks here and there and you can go from "where are they????" to "That agent in ________"!! And don't forget to click DONE EDITING button when you're done!
So if you haven't filled out your Profile page, go for it!! (and if I remember right, you get POINTS for some of the things you add!).
