I'm reporting live from my living room. Squinting eyes, synapses sparking and fingers tap-tap-tapping.
Twitter
I've had a Twitter account for more than a year. I never really used it till now. Suddenly, I've been reading, hearing and watching more and louder Twitter buzz and use. You can investigate at Twitter.com.
You can follow me and my Twitters ( www.Twitter.com/kenbrand ) if you're so inclined, it's sorta like micro blogging and instant broadcast.
Social media and web 2.0 stuff, it's not for everyone - yet. But here's one way I think the Twitter application would come in handy. Suppose you got a bunch of high powered, uber-productive Realtor friends together, opened Twitter accounts and started following each other. When you have a HOT new listing ready to reveal to the market, just before you posted to the MLS and while you waited to be discovered, you posted the base line details on Twitter - instant notification to your merry crew of growing richer uber-productive Realtor Icon friends. The cool crowd would know first, before it ever showed up on MLS. Same thing goes for buyer client needs. Can't find that perfect house - send a request broadcast Twitter, see who has a hook-up for you.
I'm bet your imagination can conjure up other smart uses.
I know you're busy. It's not for everyone...the possibilities are real and rain making and I thought I'd share the idea with you.
Wakerupper
I just signed up for this. It works...very cool. Joseph Ferrara clued me in (thank you).
Here's what it does - Log on and in about 30 seconds you set up a reminder call for phone number at any future date and time, type in your message/reminder and forget it. Like a never-fail Four Seasons Hotel wakeup call, at the appointed date and time, phone number you programed (yours or someone else's) rings and an automated voice repeats the message you created. Yes, it will call any phone, anytime, any date.
Think about it. For FREE, you can quickly set up automated telephone reminders for anything: appointments, expiration dates, anniversaries, birthdays, remind someone to do a chore/homework, escape from a date....the possibilities are ginormous. Check it out.

Thanks Ken...I used wakerupper on my whole family this morning at 6am. I got the crap beaten out of me by my 9 & 10 year olds.
