Greater Waterbury Fireworks

Bristol

A fireworks show will follow Saturday's 7 p.m. Bristol Blues - North Shore Navigators' Futures Collegiate Baseball League game on at Muzzy Field on Muzzy Street. Individual game tickets are $5 to $6 and group tickets $3 to $5. For information, call 860-582-2583 or visit bristolbluesbaseball.com.

Lake Compounce, 822 Lake Ave., will have a fireworks display at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Rain date will be July 11.


Cheshire

The fourth annual reading of the Declaration of Independence will take place during Independence Day ceremonies starting at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church green by the First Congregational Church of Cheshire, 111 Church Drive. Ceremonies will include the Pledge of Allegiance and patriotic songs. Cheshire Parks and Recreation assists with setting up the staging area and bandstand. The public is invited.


Middlebury

A 3-D fireworks display will take place on July 4th at Quassy Amusement Park, 2132 Middlebury Road (Route 64). The park will open at 11 a.m. Parking will be $8. Special viewing glasses will be available for $1, with proceeds benefiting the Healthy Eyes Alliance. For admission information, call 800-FOR-PARK or visit

Naugatuck

The Naugatuck Parks and Recreation Department has planned its annual fireworks celebration at 6 p.m. Thursday on Old Firehouse Road, downtown. There will be entertainment, food and variety of family-oriented activities. A giant fireworks display will begin at 9:15 p.m. Rain date is Friday. Call 203-720-7071 for information.

Waterbury

The annual fireworks show will originate from the Holy Land area after dusk Saturday. A list of best vantage points was being compiled by the mayor's office and was expected to be posted on the city's website at
waterburyct.org by the holiday.
