Fourth of July Fireworks San Jose Independence Day Celebrations July
by San Jose REALTOR Michelle Carr Crowe
While many cities in Silicon Valley celebrate with festivals on America's Independence Day, only San Jose can boast three separate fireworks shows. For Fourth of July fun, be sure to see one of these San Jose fireworks shows on July 4, 2015.
San Jose Almaden Lake Fireworks Show — Almaden Lake, San Jose
Festival with music and food available starting at Noon, with fireworks set to patriotic music starting at about 9:30 pm. Come early and park legally or take public transportation as law enforcement will turn people away once park is at capacity, and will tow offending vehicles. This is the second year for the free festival with music and fireworks at San Jose's Almaden Lake Park. Free.
San Jose Giants Fireworks Show — 588 E. Alma Ave, San Jose
The San Jose Giants take the field against Visalia and a fireworks show follows the game on both Sat. and Sun. Tickets for Saturday were sold out at press time. However, check the site for return tickets. Many good viewing spots surround the stadium.
BONUS: The Sunday night, July 5th San Jose Giants game vs. Visalia also boasts a free fireworks show with purchase of a ticket.
San Jose Rotary Club Fireworks — Discovery Meadow, 180 Woz Way, San Jose
Fireworks return to downtown San Jose for the second time since 2008, thanks to the generosity of the Rotary Club of San Jose. The free fireworks show is in Discovery Meadow, with seating available on a first come, first serve basis. Public transportation is highly encouraged.
Rose, White & Blue Fourth of July Parade — Downtown The Alameda, San Jose
While no fireworks, the Alameda Rose, White & Blue Fourth of July Parade is a fun way to spend the Fourth. The annual Alameda Business Association’s Rose, White and Blue Fourth of July Parade clocks in at one of the longest in the United States, with more than 170 floats and 2,500 people traveling along a 3-mile route. This year’s theme is San Jose State University and features Grand Marshalls Krazy George and Yosh Uchida. Parade highlights include equestrians, dance troops, antique cars and live music. The Rose, White and Blue Parade and party starts at 10 am, Saturday, July 4th. Download the free parade program at http://www.rosewhiteblueparade.com/pdf/2015/Program2015_final_low.pdf.
