Atlas V rocket scheduled for launch on Wednesday, July 15, 2015.

 

 

 

A United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket and GPS 2 F-10 navigation satellite are currently scheduled to liftoff at 11:36 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15th, 2015 from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Cape Canaveral, Florida.

 

The window is short, only 18 minutes, and opens at 11:36 a.m. to 11:54 a.m.

 

This will be the 55th launch by an Atlas V since it began flying in 2002.

 

A launch is always a special treat here on the Space Coast and no two launches are alike. Arrive early to find the best viewing spot and don’t forget to bring your camera so you can take some special pics to mark the occasion.

Joe Pryor I think everyone should see a launch up close and in person at least once in their life. It is an experience you will never forget...hope you can manage to fit it in at some point.

Jon - Words are not adequate to express the impact it has on me every time I see a launch. Nothing compares to it that I can think of...if you ever get a chance to see one in person, do it! You will never forget it.

I have seen a few launches, but from here it is sure not as impressive, than from you as you are so much closer.

Impressive is right and just imagine what great pics you could take. But the important thing is that you can see the launches from your home and always have the option of driving down and seeing one up close and in person.
