The side deck is beginning to take shape.
We had decided to increase the width by 2 feet larger than our original plan. We are pleased with the size, as it is large enough for table and chairs. We were going to have the columns placed on the deck. However, once it was constructed, we thought that adjunct pedestals would again make the deck feel more inviting.
By opening the side of the house with French Doors, and now this deck, we can see that this is going to be our new favorite area to spend summer evenings. The entire center of our home just flows to this hidden destination!
