Aloha Kimo -- you certainly find some of the more fun ways to celebrate living in Hawaii.  Mango 101 seems like the perfect start to achieving tropical success.

What a wonderful event this must be. I love mangoes and hate waiting for them to ripen!

The mango throwdown sounds like a wonderful event, also hoping that the extras endup a local food pantry.

Aloha Michael, mahalo for stopping by, we love our mangoes in Hawai'i!

Aloha Lise, I'm sure it will be a sticky sweet event with sorbeto, upsidedown mango cake, mangoes flambe with okolehau foam islands, mangoes with slice, diced, chopped, slopped, primped, pruned, and spoon scooped mango on top.

Aloha Rosemarie, thanks for commenting. I'm sure the mango panna cotta will be very popular with all the hot weather we've been having.

Aloha Michele, we have some extremely talented Chef's in Honolulu, the experience will be tasty, no doubt. Hopefully your idea about the food pantry is circulating with the event organizers, although I can't imagine there being much left over, especially with occupancy rates at the hotel.
