The College Station Get Pop Cultured Month 2015 is just the local version of Barnes & Nobles' nationwide event. What do you get when you combine pop culture and the written word? "Get Pop Cultured Month", that's what! There is a different, fun, culturally relevant event scheduled almost every day this month.
Just two days from now is Throwback Thursday: 1970s. Barnes & Noble will showcase classic games, music, toys, fashion and, of course, books from the 1970s on their display wall. Put on your grooviest, far out threads. Cause there's gonna be a costume contest! Get deals on novels from the 70's, like Alex Haley's "Roots", Stephen King's "Carrie" and Anne Rice's "Interview With a Vampire". Stock your vinyl collection with Marvin Gay's "What's Going On", "Blue" by Joni Mitchell or Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side of the Moon". And that's just one day!
