Feng Shui Tip: Be Mindful Of Sharp Edges In Your Home and Apartments

Feng Shui flows with the rules of nature, which illustrates everything down to its micro-cellular origin is rounded or curved. Manmade items are sharp, angular and cutting. Sometimes this can come in handy, but majority of the time, especially in our home and work environments, too many sharp edges in furniture design and corners on the walls can create an unease or lack of energy flow; such as with feeling unfocused, motivated, or even un clear with communication, etc.

Environmental Psychology (another term for Feng Shui) is beginning to provide studies in how our environment mirrors our mind and can have the potential to impact our emotions and mental state of thinking in an unsupportive or supportive way.

For those remodeling, adding corner guards is one way to soften the energy sharp edges. If that is not an option you can use plants that could be placed in front of the corner of allow the leaves of the plant to feather in front of the corner edge along the wall.

So would that imply that for Feng Shui, a room with rounded corners will allow for better energy?

You need to carry a file to round off those corners:), or bring pillows to stuff in corners.

I went into a home the other day and every corner was rounded. My clients certainly noticed.

Wow, thanks.  I so needed that.  The idea of sharp edges causing challenges with my focus is something that I need to explore.

Good morning Laura. I had never given that any thought, but it does make sense. Thank you for a new way to look at sharp edges.
