In addition to selling real estate, I have a life. Recently that life took me to Maui with my family for an enjoyable two weeks of sun, sand, sea and – one of my favorites – food and beverage. Yeah…I know, those are really two favorites but it is hard for me to separate the two.
On one Sunday, my son-in-law and I had brunch at Merriman’s, 1 Bay Club Place, Lahaina, Maui, HI.
I had House-Made Sausage with Peppers, Onions and Poached Eggs. Delicious!!!
Our family – I and my wife, son-in-law, daughter, other daughter and the two granddaughters – returned to Merriman’s for dinner on Fathers Day evening. We have been to dinner at Merriman’s in the past and always enjoyed the experience. Fabulous location! Fabulous food! Excellent service! This evening was no exception.
Here is the unexpected real estate connection. When we dined at Merriman’s a couple of years ago we unexpectedly shared the dining experience a celebrity couple – a very telegenic pair of Southern California husband and wife Realtors – who have a hit show about flipping houses on HGTV. My wife recognized them immediately. We left them alone except to say, “Hi, we love your T.V. show.” as we left.
Tonight…no celebrities…just a great meal in a wonderful location…with family.
I am sure that we will be back again.
