I am Sorry but I just Cannot help you Ms T
When you sat in our meeting room a few days ago explaining your situation, I wanted to try to help you find a home and as I told you it would be difficult.
I understand how desperately you want to get yourself and your children out of the shelter where you have been for the past several months.
It is hard to lead a life in such a place but at least with your children you do have a private room.
With your most recent TWO landlords both being forced to EVICT you, your situation is grim, even with social services offering to cover your deposit and first 3 months of rent.
One question that the lady from social services and I both wondered though is why don’t you seek a job and an income?
And without an income how do you expect to cover your rent 3 months from now when the government stops paying it for you, or is that when I am supposed to start paying it for you?
I so much want to help you because that is what I think that God would want me to do, but I am tapped out right now.
Though I believe that you mean well, I believed 3 other similar stories last year year and they rewarded me by stealing my money and destroying my homes to the tune of $12,000 and more.
I am hoping that that is not your intention, but I also thought their intentions were pure as well.
So now my charity fund is empty, if you would like to send a thank you note to these previous hucksters for ruining it for you, let me know and I will pass on their names and addresses.
I checked with a few social agencies to see if there was anything that they could do, but they are feeling a bit abused too, and their coffers are low.
The only advice that I can offer is to stay in the shelter a while longer, get a job, save some money and maybe someone will take a chance on you in a few months or years.
Again, Sorry that I cannot help, the charity fund is empty.
Bob
