Any football fan can tell you what a Monday morning Quarterback is. They look back on Sundays games and let you know what they could have done to have done better. This morning a new client started calling at 730am, what did i do? I answered the phone.  She was quite excited to speak to a real person and asked if i came into the office early every Monday. the answer is yes but i come in early every day.

 

She is a college professor moving to our area to work at Southern NH University in Manchester NH. She told me I must be a Monday Morning Real Estate Quarterback. Now i immediately think why would she say i came in early Monday to look back in the last week to see what i could have done better?

 

She blurts out that a GOOD Quarterback starts planning for his next weeks game early on Monday, by me coming in early, it shows i am a leader and a planner. I was appreciative, humbled and a little stunned though. YES that is me, I come in early every Monday before everyone and any one and i plan out my week, i review my pending sales, review what is closing this week, review my weeks appointments i made last week, review my listings and send updates to me sellers. I also make a list of everything i need to do. I love lists.

 

She said she wanted to hire me to help her find her new dream home. She made me think and made my day, perhaps my week to know i am doing something right.

 

 

The bottom line is the behind the scene work by a Real Estate agent is More important than ever. Follow up. Constant communication and follow through. You can not sit and wait for someone else to get the job done. The hard fact is do not choose just any agent, choose the BEST agent for the job. My philosophy is simple, provide more personal and professional service to guide my clients through each step of the buying or selling process. I get up very early to go to my office every day but my "office" is the gym. That's where I mentally and physically prepare for each day's events. I'm there early enough however, that I doubt I'll ever be fielding a real estate related call at 5:30am. At least it hasn't happened in the past ten years.
