Darrington is located at the western base of the Cascade Mountains in Washington State.The town has about 1,405 residents and serves another 1,200 people in the surrounding areas. The primary economy is still the timber industry. The Town is home to a variety of small logging and lumber companies as well as Hampton Lumber's state of the art mill.Darrington has a rich heritage which Sauk-Suiattle Tribe were the fist people to settle the area.The town boom when gold was discovered into the Cascade mountains in 1889.Darrington logging and sawmills began its operation in 1901 when the first train reached the town.
