- Make sure that your website and email address are on everything that leaves your desk - and I do mean everything!
- Pick your website, email and blog addresses wisely. Be consistent and concise. E.g if your website address is janedoerealty.com then a good choice for email address would be jane@janedoerealty.com. Avoid names that have numbers and symbols - the harder the address is to roll off of the tongue, the harder it will be for your clients to recall. Remember, you are building a brand and a major part of branding is customer recognition.
- Start a blog. Blogging is no longer purely a social tool - many realtors now use blogs to help drive traffic to their websites. Not sure what to blog about? I'll cover that in my next post!
- Revisit your email signature. It should not only have a link to your website and blog, but also contain any other pertinent information that distinguishes you from your competition (e.g are you a certified luxury property specialist or a million dollar club member?).
- Practice god follow up. No client (past or present) likes to feel that they are out of sight and out of mind. Taking time to mark special events in their lives (e.g the closing of their home or a birthday) will make them more likely to remember you the next time they are asked for a real estate professional referral.
