I was at the Return to Renton Car Show July 12th. I shared some photos in a post on the 14th at Return to Renton Car Show 2015 and I also shot a bunch of video that day. Of course the video took me a while to assemble...

It’s best viewed at full size so after you click play click the fullscreen button in the lower right corner... Or, simply go straight to YouTube: Return to Renton ... Also, best if you use headphones or have decent speaker setup... I love those throaty roars from the hot rods! I really enjoyed the variety of classic cars, but the little 1957 BMW Isetta 300 kinda stole the show in my opinion ;O)

This is dedicated to my friend Dan Nordlad (1951 - 2004) who’s playing the drums. This song, Bring Back the Sanity was originally recorded back in 1972 and I overdubbed the piano, guitar and bass parts. Also there's some ambient sound from a tape piece, Untitled, with Firecrackers, I did at And/or’s Soundwork Studio back in the early 80’s... I was going for that authenticity of the times thingy! Dan loved really cool fast cars and it pulled a few heart strings when I saw a few I knew he liked back in the day at the show. I did a post Dan and our longtime friendship back in April 2014 Remembering My Friend Dan ...

Also, this is for my AR friend Debb Janes  ... #1 I love her videos #2 I’ve carried guilt for too long not having something to share on Youtube Thursdays. I do a lot of video, but nothing seemed appropriate. I know this one has nothing to do with real estate but it is about #location #lifestyle and #community ...

I hope you enjoy...

I LOVE this video, Rene. Once again, your soulful capture of life strikes a chord. I also love the music and the ode to your pal, Dan.  You've done it again. I know you didn't post this for a feature - but it's so feature worthy!

Hi René - Very cool event and a great video. I remember the Isetta, but didn't know BMW made those. The highlight for me was seeing my old race car, a Lotus Super7 - lots of memories there.

Hi Debb Janes ... that's true, I wasn't after a feature. It was inspired and I just had to create it. It was a total pain in butt to do complicated with technical difficulties, but I got them all remedied and actually had a blast after that putting it together. What is so fun doing a shoot like this is discovering all the the little things and what people are doing in the background. It's such a fun discovery. Thanks for the feature! Much appreciated!

A... Ron and Alexandra Seigel ... Thanks!

Dick Greenberg ... I too was almost shocked, like you're kidding me, right? BMW? Ahh... you raced! I loved that Lotus Super7 also.

I still remember being a kid and thinking those little Isettas were absolutely the coolest things on the road.  When I was in high school, a group of us parked our car right in front of an Isetta, so the people couldn't get back in their car.  You'll remember Isettas had the door in the front of the car, rather than on the sides.
