A townhome we bought a few years ago has some settling issues.

Luckily, not the foundation.

But the tar drive is another story.

This spring the tar that abuts the garage floor sunk feet.  I was about 6-10 inches wide in spots.

I got my go to crew to get it filled and packed.  Then to get it re-tared.

Yea, right...4-6 weeks if i was lucky.

I decided to to cement ...4-8 weeks.  I even asked the companies, many mom and pop ourfits if they had anyone that wanted to make s few extra bucks.  No forms just pour and smooth it out.

NADA!

After 4 weeks and a patient renter  I decided to do it myself.

NO!  I had never done it before.  I had watched and decided that was good enough for a 2 foot by 17 foot strip.   Besides, it isn't['t some great show house or model.

So, yesterday I got it poured.  i was smart enough to bring long some work I could do on the phone and got a lot of piddly stuff done that way that kept being set aside.

But, I really don't want to do that for a while again.

Not perfect but it will do!

Suggest you resurface the entire driveway. Too obvious.

You are lucky that will work within your climate. Here in the Texas climate tar gets really soft in our heat. Then when a heavy truck parks or drives over it results in soft ruts.

While that is a great fix for a driveway even in Texas it is not a good idea for a city street.

William - It looks great to me!  I often do little DIY projects around my house.  There is a certain sense of accomplishment when they are done.

William Feela - just had similar experience today! A flat tire on my wife's car - did not know what to do, Called AAA - and the guy would not tow hybrid car (As per him, it can catch fire!)

An auto parts store was right across! Bought flat-fix and pump - and on my way to home!

Was initially scared - and became a DIYer!

It is hard work, but it is not that difficult to figure out Bill, we do most of those projects with our own crews.
