Summer Time in Colorado - Time to Head to the Mountains

By
Real Estate Agent with The Platinum Group Realtors

For some reason we hear a lot about skiing in the winter months but not as much about going up to the high country in the summer time.  There is so much to see and do it is hard to know where to begin or what to choose.

For some it can be a day trip in and around Colorado Springs.  With Pikes Peak in our neighborhood hiking options are plenty and hiking in the mountain ranges in the area are plentiful.  You can also head out to fish in creeks, reservoirs or rivers depending on your fishing style and mood that day.  Going river rafting or tubing is an hour away and you can add in a zip line tour for some additional adrenaline and fun.

For high country adventures going to the ski towns and renting a vacation rental by owner, a condo in the area or a hotel room gives you a new playground to explore and go hiking, 4-wheeling, bicycling, or camping  just to name a few.

There was a Where the locals go in Colorado recently about the best places locals go to Eat.  Where to go to eat is always a good thing to know and locals tend to have their pulse on "the place(s)".  Here is a list compiled for some different cities and mountain towns in Colorado

Here's to a Happy Summer!

Mountains can create a great sense of peace and Zen in a way that no other place can in my opinion.
