Success Can Take You to a Fork In the Road
“Success can make you go one of two ways. It can make
you a prima donna or it can smooth the edges,
take away the insecurities and let the
nice things come out.”
Barbara Walters, Author, Journalist, Television Personality
As I see it . . . . . . .
Success can take you to a fork in the road
And the path you choose to follow . . . . will have a major impact on your future and your future success.
Success is not a single event . . . . It’s the result of consistent effort over time to achieve your goals.
As you climb the mountain of success you will reach a plateau where you can rest . . . . and regroup before you resume your journey. The plateau can become a comfort zone . . . . and you can decide that the comfort zone is safer then getting back on the mountain . . . . to continuing your journey.
As you resume your climb up the mountain . . . . there may be more than one path to the top. One that you will leave your footprints on . . . . that those who follow you would want to follow in. On the other path it appears that with a few short cuts you could appear to get to the top a little quicker.
Success can take you to a fork in the road. It’s not the fastest route to the top . . . . that’s as important as who you are when you reach the top . . . . and in how you have treated people on your climb to the top.
