You know ...I can recall the very pleasant smell of wild honeysuckle by just looking at a picture of it.  We are fortunate  enough to have several large stands of it growing through the trees just to the north of our home in Robertson County, Texas. For the last week or so we have had a crisp cool breeze early in the mornings gently blowing the intoxicating fragrance from these flowers towards our home. When you step outside early in the morning I have to say the combination of the cool breeze and the honeysuckle  has simply got to be the closest thing to the Lord's breath in this world.  It is so amazing.

Later in the day as we leave out our front gate for  we enjoy a mixed blessing bouquet along the highway!

Have a prosperous week!

Trey

God is so awesome!  He put flowers here for us to enjoy and to remind us that he is the creator of all things.  Thanks for sharing.

Maybe the honeysuckle. It has deep roots.  I know you are supposed to scatter bluebonnetts in the fall and cold helps the seeds do what they do.

Trey - I'm going out early tomorrow morning and will take a deep breath; however, with all the school bus traffic I'm afraid I will only smell diesel. When you go in the morning think of me.

Nice Post.

Hi Trey - I LOVE honeysuckle!  I have a beautiful pink honeysuckle bush growing in my yard, and it's just so pretty.  Of course being up here in NH, we have a little ways to go before our honeysuckle bushes bloom up here, but oh such a wonderful scent....
