Today, August 4th is a day to celebrate!

So get those oven gloves and your favorite baking recipes, and throw some chocolate chips into the mix! It is National Chocolate Chip Day! Time to post on social media using #ChocolateChipDay to encourage others to join in paying it forward. Bake some treats for your neighbors or friends! Time to melt it forward!

Hi Jan,,,I usually put in a tray of cookies in the oven on my open houses..Have to stay away from chocolate chips though.. In our heat they melt easily.

I was flabbergasted that National Chocolate Chip Day was not heralded on CNN and all the other national news outlets. It should have a special parade and fireworks as well as avid baking.

On the bright side at least we have: National Underwear Day and National Oyster Day on August 5th.
