Creating Our Own Backyard Farm ~ Phase Two

 

Canby, Oregon is a great place to have a garden, a farm in your backyard if you wish.  The soil in this area is great for raising all kinds of crops, including vegetables, fruits, trees, flowers, shrubs, landscape plants and grasses.  It is a rich countryside filled with the wonders of what is grown and sent all the United States.  We are fortunate to live in a small town where everyone knows the history and most of their neighbors at least enough to say hello and mean it.  It is called the Garden Spot for good reason.

 

We moved to Canby a year ago and have been recreating our backyard to fit our life style.  It is not large but actually lives large providing us with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.  

A work in progress and this year an experiment as it is ever changing in the fledgling stage as far as permanent plants, garden art and how it will eventually flow.  I don't have chickens yet, but in the future who knows.  Love those fresh eggs collected that morning. I am of the opinion that a "girl is always allowed to change her mind" as I often do. 

 

I hope you enjoy the video and perhaps it will create a desire to create your Own Backyard Farm, mine is not like the one I grew up on but it will more than do.
