MY FIRST FISH of 2008

So I snuck out shortly after lunch today for my favorite passtime, fishing.

I know what you are thinking.  How did your clients live without you?:)

Well, I figured I am special and I deserve it.  So I went.

I decided to go to the West Branch of the DuPage River, just across the street from my subdivision.

It's only a 3 minute walk.  The weather today here in Naperville is beautiful.  Sunny, 73 degrees with a little wind.

Anyway, tied on my favorite lure, a 4" Yamasenko.  Purple.

I did not have a ton of confidence, it still is early in the year afterall but the weather is warming quickly.

I ended up catching a gorgeous smallmouth.  It was probably about 13-14 inches.  Dark bronze.  Beautiful.

Nothing else was interested in my lures, so I went home victorious.

One beautiful day and one beautiful fish.

Hi Ken,

Great story,  it reminds me of the spring of 1984, I was a newbie in Real Estate in White Plains, NY, about half an hour north of Manhattan, it was a beautiful day.

I told my broker I had an appointment (I did, with myself) and just took the afternoon to go for a walk on the beach. (Beautiful Long Island beaches 1/2 hour from White Plains)

I had worked stuck in an office up to that point, and I new this new career would work for me.

It has since then.

All the best!

Ken, you know the old saying "A bad day fishing beats a good day at work". Enjoy your self. As for I after two listing appointments, I went to the our club and hit a couple of bags at the driving range.

Hi Anne and Eddie.  I see lots of bass fishing is down in Mexico.  There must be somewhere to fish near Tucson.
