This is a market update for San Rafael Hills homes for sale and year-to-date sales activity. All information is from our local multiple listing service(mls) and may not include all transactions in the neighborhood.
For the purposes of this report, the boundaries of San Rafael Hills are as follows: South of Colorado Boulevard, west of Avenue 64 to the city border and both sides of Avenue 64 south of La Loma to the Los Angeles city border.
The zip code is 91105. The San Rafael Hills neighborhood is a convenient Pasadena location with easy access to the Foothill(210), Ventura(134) and Glendale(2) freeways as well as the Arroyo Seco Parkway(110). Take Colorado Boulevard east over the Colorado Street Bridge into Old Pasadena and you are in the midst of abundant shopping, dining, entertainment and culture.
The San Rafael Hills have examples of Spanish, Mediterranean, English, Ranch and Modern architecture. There are many significant homes designed by Buff & Hensman, Harwell Harris, Calvin Straub, Craig Ellwood and others. Many San Rafael Hills homes offer some exceptional views.

In the same January through June time period in 2014, there were 17 closed sales.
Those sales ranged from $640,000 to $1,221,500 with an average sales price of $918,471(median $925,000). They sold at 98.99% of last list price and for $465.69 per square foot on average.
