STILL CONFUSED

Help...I have been with AR for a little over a month. I love reading all the great posts out there and continue to learn so much everyday! However, I need little help.

I want to post my local listings but I do not want to post them out there where they might annoy people and appear to be out there for no apparent reason. Obviously I want to post them in the hopes of sparking some interest!

So, when I post a listing, do I simply write the post and click visibility, public and then post to consumers and then check the area I want it posted to? I am sure this is very simple but want to make sure it is done right!

Thank you all so much for your help!!

 Terrie

I hope that helped Terrie. It was a pleasure speaking with you!

Jim & Maria - Thank you so much. You are right, now is the time!

Bob - You were absolutely awesome! Thank you so much. I've already gone to Postlets.com and wrote my flyer, but am having trouble uploading my photos. I lost my camera and had to borrow a friend's camera but cannot upload the pics.  I did buy a new camera so when I take new photos of my property I will hopefully be able to upload and get my listing posted. Anyway, I cannot even begin to thank you enough for your quick response!  I know I have already said so, but thank you! You saved me so much time. It was a great talking with you. Have a great day!

Hi Terrie - That was a good question.  More people should be like you. Not all newbies are brave enough to ask a question.  I'm sure some just fade away.  You are an inspiration.  I am glad Bob took good care of you.  Thanks for the post.

Neal - Thank you so much for your encouragement. I am not sure if brave is the correct adjective, desperate was more like it. But thanks again for your support.  Terrie

Terrie, welcome to ActiveRain. It looks like you are off to a good start by putting your listings on here. I don't know if Bob told you but there is a AR group called "listings by address" That is another place you can post but not with postlets. Just photos and verbage and of course the address. Hope that helps.

There's also a group called Activerain MLS Online ... they have a post that explains the rules for posting to the group.

Doug - Thank you and I do have one in the works!

Sharon - You should email Bob, he walked me thru it step by step and it was quite easy. He shared some others pointers as well, ie . postlets.com for making flyers to use on-line. It really helped!

When you select the audience choose consumers.  Then select region and from there until you get it to your target market.  In addition, Active Rain also has groups designated just for listing posts.
