Greenville harbors the Greenville Zoo, a sprawling land with animals of all species making it great for families and educational for children. The Dark Corner Distillery is a fun place to go with friends when children are away. For a taste of the outdoors in an urban area, you can sign up for The Gorge Zip Line Canopy Tours that showcases South Carolina’s most picturesque lands. In Anderson, you can visit the Split Creek Farm, a dairy goat farm that produces and sells all natural goat milk products such as cheese, milk, fudge and soap. Another attraction is the Stumphouse Tunnel lodged in the Stumphouse Park. This unfinished railroad began construction before wars occurred but once the Civil War had erupted; construction came to a halt and is now an attraction for all to see and enjoy. With air shafts built on top of the tunnel, it keeps it around 55-60 degrees all year round. In Mauldin, you can enjoy Frankie’s Fun Park, an amusement facility with go-kart tracks, arcades, and so much more. South Carolina’s past never stopped it from merging forward and is now a place to visit and go back in time. The Boone Hall Plantation is a breathtaking restored plantation that dates back to the 1930’s. With the slave cabins still intact, it has become an educational museum but also still grows succulent fruit and vegetables and other agricultural resources. It is also a great place to hold special events such as a wedding. Mount Pleasant has an attraction tour called Adventure Harbor Tours where you can go shell-searching in the area where confederates fought during the infamous siege at Battery Wagner. In the state’s capital reside the State House, the Riverbanks Zoo, Congaree National Park, and Colonial Life Arena to see concerts of all artists.
