Yes we had a pretty good Shaker the other day! People are still talking about it....
especially the folks who  are visiting and have never felt an earthquake before!
It was 6.46 on the Richtor Scale. there were about 10 aftershocks. 
No real damage, no one hurt....all is well!

 Good Friday morning Laura. 6.4 is a rather large earthquake. Thankfully, that area of Alaska is not heavily populated so I could see were the damage would be minimal.

Debra Leisek I am sure you regularly have earthquakes with all the volcanoe and too many people moving to Alaska. All that extra weight causes the tectonic plates to move!

Good Morning Michael Thornton the quake shook from Homer to Fairbanks! but you are right if it was in a populated place it would have casued some real damage.. thank you!

I am glad that all were safe through the quake.

The only quake that i have been in was over 30 years ago while fighting a forest fire in California, and I slept through it.
