Last night I was driving home after a long day of showing vacant land near Seligman, Arizona. I was on a lonely stretch of Highway 89 south of Ash Fork when I suddenly noticed the sound of a bird:
"C H I R P chirp chirp chirp"
. . .
Then a little later
"C H I R P chirp chirp chirp"
. . .
Still a little later
"C H I R P chirp chirp chirp""
I started thinking, I want to see this bird when I get home. Maybe I should drive into the garage and close the door so I can see it when I get out.
Then I started to think: "How did it get in here?" I did not see a bird anywhere near my car before I set out.
I hope it is not hurt!
A little while later I started noticing that it never changed the sound from
"C H I R P chirp chirp chirp"
and that it was repeating on a regular interval of about 30 seconds. After a few more cycles, car headlights appeared in my rear view mirror. I did not think too much about it until the car headlights got closer. Then I noticed: My rear window wipers were on INTERMITTENT. My bird problem was then solved.
The "C H I R P chirp chirp chirp"
sound was made by my rear window wipers!
