Citifield in New York is getting ready for 2009 opening for METS!

great article on MLB.com about the Mets and the new stadium they will be playing in. In 2009 the Mets will be leaving Shea Stadium (potentially the worst stadium in baseball) and moving to Citifield. The new stadium is in the process of being built and is in the parking lot of Shea. Here is a link to some of the images as the new stadium has taken shape. The Jackie Robinson Rotunda was built in testament to the great Brooklyn Dodger Player who broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball.

Sad, sad story from the METS game last night of the 36 year old man that fell to his death last night while at the game with his two daughters.

Are you a METS fan or just a baseball fan in general?

How do you spell Brad Lidge in spanish?  VALVERDE!

I'm a Mets fan who will not be sad to see Shea retired. It was built in the era of the cookie cutter stadiums and was, as long back as I can remember, a dump. Citi Field looks like it's going to be beautiful and a great place to visit and take in a game. Can't wait.

Hey Ron, born and raised a Mets fan. Lidge will explode as a Philly and get the Mets into the playoffs.

I saw the story that ESPN did on Citi Field, it looks like a winner!  I think that baseball will benefit greatly by having another great facility to showcase!  I loved the Jackie Robinson Rotunda idea!  I can't wait to watch games from there.

It does look to be a beauty! I am excited that both the Yankees and the Mets are getting new parks. Now if only the Yankees can go on a decade long losing streak!! =)

Best,
