OK now that I have your attention.
Why is it that all these people got into these homes and made payments and made good for themselves.
Then, well we all know what happened after this.
I would like to know President Bush? Feds? Lenders? Opera's Big Give? Extreme Home Makeover?
Whoever???
Who is willing to give these people a second chance???
If they could make the payments before the balloon, can't someone figure out that if these payments were within a range of affordability, these people could keep these homes, maybe making a 40 year loan?? I don't know, but what I do know is this is not the end by a long shot!
Is it worth it to keep investing the money into the economy, so all the Buyers stay on the fence, the older folks who want to move on can't because there are 12 months or so of inventory. The Rents going up because there is a high demand for rentals. I could keep going but I do beleive I paint the picture.
I'm sure I am not the only Realtor this is sitting heavy on.
Keeping quiet is just not me.
My thought is, a perfect world is out there somewhere.
These people made mistakes, being, buyers, lenders and anyone who came in between, this is not to point fingers but to call people out who may not be sleeping at night and people like me that can't sleep at night knowing there is something that can be done. Please someone if you have some possible realistic thoughts on this please lets get it out and help these people who need the help.
Did I tell you I am very involved in the Schools and am in the middle of fighting that battle too!
